Auchentoshan is Glasgow's best-known single malt distillery, located on the edge of the city in Dalmuir, where its urban surroundings make it a rather unusual presence in Scotch whisky. Officially established in 1823, though distilling is often said to have occurred on or near the site before that, Auchentoshan has changed hands several times throughout its history. It was once part of Morrison Bowmore, but today the distillery operates within Suntory Global Spirits.
