Blue Spot Irish Whiskey is a cherished member of the celebrated "Spot" whiskey family, revived in 2020 by Irish Distillers at Midleton Distillery in Cork. This seven-year-old single pot still whiskey matures in bourbon, sherry, and Madeira casks, continuing a tradition dating back to Dublin's Mitchell & Son wine merchants in the early 1900s. The distinctive blue spot on the barrel, used historically for inventory marking, inspired its name.
