Laphroaig's first collaboration with ambassador and actor Willem Dafoe makes for a compelling bottling. Aged 14 years and finished in oloroso sherry casks, this limited edition is bottled at 53.7% ABV. The trademark Laphroaig peat and iodine stay unmistakable on the nose, while the oloroso finish brings dried fruit richness and a deep, warming sweetness to the palate. A layered dram that balances Islay's rugged coastal character with the complexity of sherry cask maturation. In film, "no notes" describes a performance so complete it requires no direction. This whisky was personally selected by Willem Dafoe together with Laphroaig Senior Whisky Blender Sarah Dowling — without explanation, guided purely by instinct. Dafoe became a Friend of Laphroaig in September 2025, and this limited edition is the outcome.
