Isle of Jura Whisky
Jura is one of the more distinctive island distilleries in Scotch whisky, with roots going back to 1810 and a modern revival in 1963, when the distillery was rebuilt to help sustain life on the island. Produced by Whyte & Mackay, the whisky has long been recognized for a softer, more approachable style than many heavily peated island malts, with a house character shaped by ripe fruit, gentle spice, honeyed sweetness and carefully judged oak.
The range has evolved considerably over time, and the current core lineup is now focused on expressions such as the 12 Year Old Sherry Cask and 15 Year Old Sherry Cask, alongside older and rarer bottlings including the 21 Year Old Tide and vintage releases. That expanded portfolio has helped give Jura a clearer identity in recent years, balancing accessibility with a growing interest in more mature and limited expressions.
